Another topic:

Seemingly whenever I exceed 175 KIAS I get the Xplane Flap overspeed warning message on the right hand side of the screen. This is regardless whether I have flaps set or not. As the plane exceeds 175 I get the warning? Any ideas why it would happen?
Also what is the top speed reachable? At 8000 feet I cannot seem to be able to fly faster than around 150-170 KIAS using 100% RPM and torque. I only reach around 200 in descent.

Thanks Tom for your much appreciated assistance - you have a true fan here.

Alex, the flap overspeed is 175 kias though I don't know why you would get it if the flaps were up.  As to the speeds, I couldn't say offhand what's causing the issue for you sine I'm not there to troubleshoot but you should see well over 200  kias at 8000 ft.

I believe I got the low speed issue because the flaps were damaged. It takes time but there should be a reason to every issue I come accross.  Smiley

Was related to tge Saitek throttle quadrant - remapping the flaps to a button instead solved the issue.
