GoodWay Flight Planner FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
· What are the differences between the freeware version and the shareware version?
Well, the Shareware version includes all the utilities of the Freeware version and in addition:
* The ability to print maps, flight plans and airport plans
* The ability to export maps and airport plans in JPG format
* The ability to export the flight plan in TXT format that can be read and displayed by X-Plane
* The ability to export a special format of the flight plan that will be interpreted and loaded into X-Plane FMC
* The ability to create your own aircraft hangar
* The ability to have GoodWay display the ENV files available on your hard drive
* The ability to display the actual flight path over the programmed flight plan
* The ability to download and install the ENV files of the GLOS program
* The ability to automatically update the software
* The ability to download the real weather Metar file
* The ability to set all X-Plane parameters and then place you at the commands of your aircraft ready for takeoff Please note that these options are NOT available in the freeware version
In other words, you can't export a flight plan, into X-Plane, from a freeware version of Goodway.
I have purchased full version and it's as easy as clicking one button [export to fms] and then copying this newly created file file to appropriate X-Plane subfolder. I highly recommend paying for this very useful resource, for it's additional capabilities and for supporting people doing really good job. Goodway is more than worthy investment.

Many thanks Greg and Lis for your quick and efficient answer.
You can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to scroll right and left. Now, i know the tip. Too easy. I am really a noob.
Cheers.

Lis.
I run Win 7 64 bits and X plane 9.67. Goodway is very very slow, and often never finish his task.. However, i have exported a flight plan in the FMS of the Corvalis. Very nice feature indeed.
Greg. In a future release, can you give us a Goodway compatible version of your Corvalis ?
Regards.

Hi, thank you for posting this step guide to manually entering the flight plan.
I have followed each step and the vector line has appeared on the MFD between the 2 airports I have entered however I there are a couple of steps I cannot figure out:
1) The FPL does not appear on the PFD mini screen. Do I need to make any further steps on the MFD after entering the flight plan?
and
2) Is it only possible to enter the flight plan manually using the key pad? The joystick selector (where the "Range" selector is) on the MFD does not work and I cannot find any sub menus to select nearest airport etc.. or gain airport information for auto tune to frequencies... Am I hoping for too much?
I'm really enjoying the sim of this equipment and hope it's me missing something

Glad to see your enjoying the aircraft. Keep an eye out for future updates.
