Leen de Jager
In 1935 American Airlines director C R Smith asks Douglas to build a plane bigger and better than the DC2.The result is the DST Douglas Sleeper Traveller having fourteen beds. After having build seven DST`s , they created based on this airplane a "Dayplane " for twenty-four passengers and this plane.......became the name Douglas Commercial 3rd model. The DC3 was born. Here my impression of the mama-bird ,the DST.
