Jim Kallinen
Only place I have seen tire smoke is on those crazy AI planes when they make hard slow speed turns.
Oliver
Maybe your landings are just too good!
falloutgamer65
I see alot of smoke waay too often when making turns that aren't tight or fast, but i only see a little smoke when the landing gear of a jumbo jet hits the runway. Seems kind of backwards from what really happens. Also the noise of the brakes in xplane are just annoying and screeching happens way too frequently. Not that big of a deal though just a little xplane quirk we have to live with i guess.
larjeet
Try landing or taking off with your brakes on Puffs of something coming from the Tires (it looks like smoke?) . Found this out when trying to run the progressivebraking pythonscript and could not realease the brakes. wotaskd
That (the screeching noise from braking, regardless how softly you touch it) is probably my biggest gripe with X-Plane, independent of version.
larjeet
I made a modified version of the wav file for XP9 its available here http://forums.x-plan...s&showfile=9240 Just save a copy of your original in the sounds folder and over wriite it . You can also change it to your liking with an editor such as audacity.Larry Edited January 11, 2012 by larjeet
