OlaHaldor
I checked Disc 1 and I could clearly see stripes in the disc. I'm not sure if this paper cover thing is so good. I'd prefer something like the way DVD movies are handled. Push and lift, instead of sliding the disc on a hard surface. The stripes match the way the disc is scraping against the paper cover. Makes me think: Why do we still use these fragile plastic discs for distribution? They could easily distribute the sim on one or two 64GB SDHC memory cards... eaglewing7
Are you using the installer that is on Disc 1?You shouldn't be because of some error or something that Laminar made...News on that problem here:http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=55309
OlaHaldor
Nope, I downloaded the installer a few days back. Thought that one might be weird, so I re-downloaded today before install.
eaglewing7
It might be worth trying to get in contact with Laminar Research, and seeing if they have a solution. They might decide to just send a new disc, or they may have a way around the issue. OlaHaldor
I ignored it and continued installation, hoping an update (which would be necessary anyway) could fix it. And it did. I will report back to Laminar though.
