Kieran
Last weekend I started work on an Extra 300L. With the summer holidays about to start I though it was a good time to start work on an aircraft, with the intention of finishing (or doing the majority of the work) by the end of the holidays (end of January). The goals:- Accurate flight model (hopefully including some systems such as the smoke system, and a better engine model),- Detailed 3d exterior and interior,- And fun to fly.I'll try and keep this thread up to date, but I will be going away which will limit my internet access.Cheers,Kieran[EDIT] picture removed. Oliver
Nope... and I can't say I completely "hate" them, but I just find them quite annoying. Is there a way to make the pilot visible from outside views, but invisible when in 3d pit mode? Btw, great progress, I'll be keeping my eyes out for this one
Kieran
Sure can, use the x_Cockpit_INN.obj and x_Cockpit_OUT.objs.
Gjalp
Hi Kieran, once again your modelling is pretty impeccable....as for pilot, "either or" really, if the pilot is done "right" then chuck him, or her, in.....I must say that seeing a pilot in the external view is always nice Slainte,AndyNZCH
Kieran
The way I see it at the moment from the responses is: the pilot has too be done right and show only from the exterior, and possibly be able to disable altogether. Thanks for the feedback.CheersKieran
Kieran
More work done on the rear panel, added the Garmin stuff (GPS and transponder).[EDIT] picture removed, new ones coming soon. namaui
I can agree that an exterior-view pilot is nice, but I'm not a fan of having to share the cockpit with one.

Kieran
Work on the Extra 300L is progressing. I am spending too much time flying it in X-Plane, it is just too much fun: 350 degree/second roll rate.
