Yes, bit of a waste to just let this nice bird sit there...

I was actually making notes of all the buttons and encoders for the PFD and MFD as I'm planning on building some cockpit hardware. I initially connected the GPU and turned on the battery just to get some back-light on the panels. Once I was done I turned the battery off and disconnected the GPU. I left the sim running and just over 4 hours later when I returned to my PC I realised that X-Plane pulled a Houdini on me.

You will notice from the X-Plane log file that not much happened between 11:53:41 when X-RAAS initialised until 16:02:20 when the sim went belly up.
