Puclats Posted February 6, 2019 Report Share Posted February 6, 2019 Ok...so I'm pretty new to flying my sim in general and flying sailplanes in particular, but I thought it would be fun to find maybe other person to compare notes and fly with. I'm loving the ASK 21 sailplane. Here's what I'm thinking...I was hoping to find just one person interested in flying sailplanes...maybe a beginner like me...who would want to fly an idea and share notes. For example, we could switch off and set challenges that we would both fly. Maybe I set a starting point and a XC flight of 30 miles and designate a landing site and we see who can do it the fastest. Then it's your turn. You might say, let's take off from a particular airport, release at 3k feet and see who can stay up the longest. We could do an out-and-back contest...who can fly the greatest distance and return to the starting point...go back and forth with ideas...you get the idea... Now, you should probably know I'm NOT super competitive. I have a full-time job and a life, so I'm not going to want a daily challenge...maybe just a couple times a month. I'm flexible.
