Below is a list of simulator performance test data of users. See below for the test methodology and raw data tables.

Disclaimer: This data is provided as-is with ZERO warranty as to its reliability or accuracy. Hot Start does NOT guarantee that simply because your system matches the specifications below you will necessarily see the same framerates. This data is submitted by volunteer testers and hasn't been controlled for extra variables such as running background tasks, hardware cooling performance or slight variability in OS versions and driver versions/settings.

Formatted graphic:

Test methodology:

  1. Apply following graphics settings (if you move the sliders in your sim, be sure to restart the simulator, as certain settings are only applied on a full simulator restart):
    shot.thumb.png.f9b8eec89d077fe221cb21f59cfe32a6.png
  2. Load aircraft at SCIP runway 10, default cockpit view (SHIFT+9), cold & dark
  3. Set weather: CAVOK
  4. Number of AI aircraft: 0
  5. Disable any extra plugins besides the TBM900, Gizmo, OpenWXR and OpenGPWS (these are required to run the airplane)

Report the following data:

  1. Your hardware configuration: CPU + frequency (if overclocked), RAM, GPU + frequency (if overclocked), screen resolution used
  2. Operating system + version and/or patch level
  3. X-Plane version
  4. TBM-900 version
  5. TBM-900 FPS
  6. If possible, for comparison, default Cessna 172 (steam gauge variant) FPS for comparison

The screenshot got cut off there I'm afraid. Can you please expand it? Or just place the data pertaining to your setup into a comment. Text is OK, I can edit the spreadsheet on the first post and update it.

CPU: 4690K    Freq : 4.2Hz    Ram : 32G     GPU : 980Ti     OS : Windows 7     Res: 3840 x2160    XP: 11.26    Graphics : as specified in 1st post     TBM  1.0.9    TBM:   85 fps         Cessna: 98fps

Scenery was as specified but only runway shows in the midst of water , I only load scenery for my region.   I can repeat with full scenery tile if needed.

PS : Subsequent to the benchmark test , flying around YSSY (Kingsford Smith, Sydney) the lowest fps is about 35 , same  computer & graphic settings, same fresh vanilla 11.26 XP.

Perfectly acceptable for a 4 year old rig .

Just installed a fresh copy of xp11 to do some more testing regarding my problem with fps drop on longer flights.

Thought it would be a good opportunity to take part on this performance test.

So here it is:

CPU: i5 6500 3,2 GHz

RAM: 16GB

GPU: GTX 1070

OS: Windows 10

Res: 1920x1080

XP: 11.26

TBM Vers.: 1.10 (1.09b)

TBM: 105 fps

Default Cessna: 120 fps

Hi Toto,

Testing according to your configuration I came up with

TBM 900 = 100 fps

C172 = 100 fps

Rolling back to my configuration: 2xAA + FXAA, full screen, draw shadows on the terrain I got

TBM 900 = 59 fps

C172 = 85 fps

TBM v1.1.1, X-Plane V11.26 and W10

I'm running X-Plane at 1440p, my hardware is in my signature

Hope that helps
