Weights for PFPX profile

Recommended Posts

As Jan and Morten just told in another post, it aint any set values for this on the 733. It depends on the configuration by the airline.

But Jan also told they used following weights for his airline. So that is a good start. :)

Jan's numbers:
Max Taxiweight: 57830 kg - 127 493 lb
Max Takeoffweight: 57600 kg - 126 986 lb
Max Landingweight: 52600 kg - 115 963 lb
Max Zerofuelweight: 49450 kg - 109 018 lb

DOW: 32 831 kg - 72380 lb (From the aircraft model file)
Max Fuel: 16085 kg - 35 461 lb (Max fuel you can set in X-Plane for this aircraft)

Tom is correct. There are no specific weights that we "built" this plane to. The plane is built to fly correctly at a big range of weights, whichever they may be.

The only thing set in stone is the absolute minimum weight as shown in that other thread. Consider this to be the weight of the basic airplane with enough oil to run the engines - and two pilots on board. There is also a limit to the fuel you can load into the tanks (0-16.000kg) and then there is a maximum payload you can carry using the IXEG GROUND SERVICES menu, ca. 23.000kg. Using the default X-Plane weight menu you can even load way more.

Everything else is up to the specific operator. Boeing has published "maximum weights", but they vary from model to model. You can pick which one you want to portray in your PFPX profile.

Cheers, Jan

Hi @Litjan,

Thank you very much for your contribution regarding the weights. I am also part of those people who like to have it as close as possible to the real thing ;) Regarding the weights used by your airline, from the post above, you gave us those numbers:

Jan's numbers:
Max Taxi weight: 57830 kg - 127 493 lb
Max Take off weight: 57600 kg - 126 986 lb
Max Landing weight: 52600 kg - 115 963 lb
Max Zero fuelweight: 49450 kg - 109 018 lb

Could you also kindly provide us with an example of the real DOW for one of the 737-300 of your fleet and also the seating config that goes with it ? Y140, Y148 etc... Single class, 2 class etc... I believe LH used 2 classes ?

Thank you soo much !

Seb

Hi Seb,

we used a two-class cabin configuration - but that was a flexible arrangement! There was a curtain that would be moved back and forth, according to demand. Business class had the same chairs as economy class (after they finally did away with those pesky seatrows that could be changed from 3 abreast to 2 abreast), but in C configuration the middle seat had to stay empty.

Maximum seats available was 123 in all economy config.

A typical DOW (dry operating weight) for the 737-300 was 34.000 kgs (give or take a little dependent on catering group).

Cheers, Jan

Max Taxi weight: 57830 kg - 127 493 lb
Max Take off weight: 57600 kg - 126 986 lb

I could also state some numbers taken from Boeing -300/ -400/ -500 FCOM dated 13.02.1998 with latest revision 18.08.2008:

Max Taxi weight: 61461 kg - 135500 lb
Max Take off weight: 61234 kg - 135000 lb
Max Landing weight: 51709 kg - 114000 lb
Max Zero fuelweight: 48307 kg - 106500 lb

It's different. So you have a choise...
