Simplates

Does anyone use Simplates?

I'm willing to spend some money on good charts for the US and Europe as I find it hard to find good ones easily & for free (especially for Europe which is not covered by skyvector). I don't need it all up to date and I don't need all the airports in the world, just the main ones, mainly IFR. Easy access is essential.

Navigraph and others alike are beyond my budget. Simplates is what I came up with so far.

Thoughts, experiences to share?

Thanks
Flo

There are so many places to download free charts. All it took for me was some google time to find then. Some sites you need to sign up but all these are free.

Eurocontrol- Every country in EU and Others http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/publicuser/public/pu/login.do

Australia-  http://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/current/dap/AeroProcChartsTOC.htm

New Zealand- http://www.aip.net.nz/NavWalk.aspx?section=CHARTS

Japan-https://aisjapan.mlit.go.jp/LoginAction.do

England-http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php%3Foption=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=6&Itemid=13.html

Netherlands-http://www.ais-netherlands.nl/aim/index.html

And if you can't find what you are looking for try http://www.opennav.com/  Not the best organized, but they have everything it seems.

And one last gift. If you only need certain airports in the us-http://www.chartbundle.com/  Tell it what Airport, or State, or Region and it will combine all the charts into1 PDF

! have all the downloaded charts on the cloud(MEGA 50 gig free) so I can access them anytime with my tablet.

One last thing If you havent checked out www.simbrief.com,  You should!

Thanks Gary,

time is the most important factor to me and thus a single source would be nice.
But now that you have already done most of the work...

Flo

Hardly takes any time at all to type whatever country name + AIP into google. Pretty much every country has an official source of charts online available!

Well, of couse I did that (many times), but the information you get this way is often incomplete, needs countless registrations, is outdated etc.etc. Many free offers look good until you dig deeper. I guess for the US things are different, but for Europe it can be painful sometimes.

Nevertheless, thanks for the feedback

I am talking about the official source of truth for the charts, which are the links Grumpler dug up for you. Every single one of those links can be found by googling 'New Zealand AIP' or 'Netherlands AIP' or 'UK AIP'. In fact, I find it's easiest to find for Europe.

Then again, I hear you on having a single convenient source for everything.
